Session 3: Living the Code
During the recent COVID-19 pandemic, living the code presented challenges. In this session the IRBA provides an update on the current IESBA projects relating to COVID-19 and the Code.

Presenter:
Saadiya Adam is a Technical Advisor to the International Ethics Standards Board for Professional Accounts (IESBA). She is also the Senior Professional Manager: Standards at the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), serving as Secretariat to the Committee for Auditor Ethics (CFAE) and the Committee for Auditing Standards (CFAS), the standards- setting statutory committees established by South Africa’s Auditing Profession Act. The CFAE is responsible for determining what constitutes improper conduct by registered auditors, including developing the IRBA Code of Professional Conduct. Saadiya is a CA(SA) and a Certified Ethics Officer with The Ethics Institute of Southern Africa.
