About our Speaker
Joe trained as an economist and did his PhD at London University. He is a career central banker who began work at the Bank of England in June 1990.
Since joining, he has worked across many areas of the Bank including monetary policy, financial stability, communications, the Prudential Regulation Authority, and the Centre for Central Banking Studies.
In 2019 he joined the Bank’s Agency for Greater London as Deputy Agent.
In this role Joe speaks to businesses, on a daily basis, to gather intelligence on the economy and provide feedback to the Bank’s senior policymakers.
The Agency network speaks to about 9,000 businesses across the UK every year.
SAICA’s CPD policy has changed effective 1 January 2020 from an input measurement basis to an output measurement basis. Learning and the development of professional competence is unique to each member and should be aligned to your personal needs identified in your reflective learning plans. For further information and guidance, go to SAICA’s CPD website. The competencies being addressed in this seminar are:
- Business Acumen: Business Internal Environment
- Business Acumen: Business External Environment
As a result of the above, you will no longer be required to swipe your CPD card at events or to log hours with SAICA.
If you are required to log CPD hours (for instance if you are a SAICA Tax Practitioner or registered with other professional bodies or organisations such as the IOD, SAIPA, SAIT etc.), please note that this webcast affords you 1 CPD hour.
Please note this session is complimentary. However, booking is essential.
