Purpose

We build critical thinking skills and enhance future performance via reflective learning by analysing what we have learnt and how far we have come. The process of reflecting entails additional exploration and examination of oneself, one’s views, characteristics, experiences, and actions/interactions. It supports us in gaining understanding and determining how to move forward progressively.

NB: This questionnaire is compulsory to be completed by all LEMS delegates

How to answer self-reflection questions

  1. Set aside time to sit and think.
  2. Remove all distractions or take yourself off somewhere quiet.
  3. Allow your answers to just flow – write whatever comes to mind.
  4. Be honest. There’s no point asking yourself self-reflection questions if you’re not going, to be honest with your answers.
  5. Don’t be afraid of what you might discover.
  6. If it helps, sit somewhere quiet. Clear your mind and with the questions in front of you, ponder on them with no pressure or judgement. Afterwards, write down what you can remember.
