About our Speaker

Martin Haagoort
Centre point in Martin’s career is business analytics and technology. His driving force is the deep understanding of finance, sales and marketing and optimizing these through application of sophisticated techniques and technologies.

Coming from a background in econometrics, data science and business transformation, he has held various senior positions covering all customer segments and all routes-to-market.

In all these areas he has applied business analytics and has developed several breakthrough methods and data science models in business to business as well as in business to consumer.

Next to that he has deep practical understanding of all the data science dimensions due to the many large-scale projects he has led (FinTech, AccounTech and HealthTec).

Combining his background in analytics with various senior positions has made him an expert with regards to implementing business analytics, data science, AI projects and as well as large scale CRM initiatives.

With regards to data science, big data, AI, customer analytics he has been a frequent speaker at conferences.

 

Deepesh Gopal

Deepesh Gopal heads up Quantitative Analytics at Datonomy Solutions. He is a down-to-earth and passionate executive, with over 12 years of experience in the South African banking sector; spanning data management, credit, market risk and management consulting for Absa, Capitec, and Landbank.

Although he has applied the techniques and principles of various aspects of quantitative analytics in the modern data science approach throughout his career, joining a data-centric company like Datonomy Solutions, with its 20+ years expertise, has taken the possibilities of what can be achieved to a whole new level. Deepesh now gets to play with new approaches to combine internal and external data sources with robust end-to-end data processing, with the ability to deliver on a higher goal of not just Shareholder Value but also solutions that can contribute to Datonomy’s vision of partnering with clients to positively impact 1 Billion people by 2030.

In addition to the banking industry, Deepesh has also consulted on a wide array of high-impact projects in the retail and FMCG environments with the likes of SAB, Naspers, Truworths, Momentum, Liberty, and Experian.

Since joining Datonomy, Deepesh is focused on growing the practice through Connected Value Creation. He does this by connecting clients to their data and deriving shared value for all key stakeholders.
